Ducks
Haddenham was once a flourishing duck breeding community and earned the name
'silly Haddenham' for putting a thatched roof over the pond by St Mary's Church.
This stopped the baby ducklings drowning after rainfall
(they aren't waterproof until their adult feathers come through).
