March 29th - Haddenham Puddleducks Pre-School 'Open Afternoon' 2pm - 4pm Scout & Guide Centre.  A FREE childrens bunny hunt with chocolate treats plus stalls to include Home Produce, second-hand bookstall, refreshments to include Cream Teas and childrens stall.  This will be an opportunity for you to see Puddleducks Pre-school at what it has to offer plus a chance to view the new play equipment purchased with donations from local organisations, our chance to say a big thank-you.

2 Feb - Saturday - Haddenham Puddleducks Pre-school - Entertainment Quiz Night in the Youth & Community Centre. Doors open 7.30 for 8pm start. Tickets £5 per person and teams can be up to 8 people max. Bring your own drinks and nibbles. Book in advance with Shelley Smith on 01844 290171. A fun night with prizes for top teams and raffle.

bullet ON-GOING WEEKLY EVENTS

Mondays: Trimobility ~ Started again on Monday mornings on Jan 7 2008 ~ check with Bucks Adult Learning on 0845 045 4040.

Tuesdays Recorders ~ Haddenham Recorder Consort meets each week during term-time on Tuesday or Friday evenings. Players of any standard, with recorders from descant to bass, would be very welcome to join the group. Call Rosemary Shaw on 291636 for details. Lau Gar Kung Fu & Kickboxing Club ~ every Tuesday 7-8pm at Haddenham Village Hall, suitable for all ages 7+. Instruction in self defence, kung fu, kickboxing, fitness, weapons (senior grades) and fighting techniques. Instructor Ian Carter 07787 917931 Haddenham Youth Club Tuesdays 7-9.30pm will be held at the Youth and Community Centre, Woodways and will be open to 13-19 year olds. La Jolie Ronde. If you would like your 3-5 year old to learn French through fun rhymes, songs and stories, weekly classes will be starting on 7th November. Places are limited so please sign up by calling Ruth on 01296 427223.
Haddenham Toddler Group in weekly events. Meet on Tuesday Mornings (term time only) from 9.30am - 11.15 in the Youth & Community Centre,  Birth to pre-school with first session free.  Contact Shelley 01844 290171 for more details.

Wednesdays: Music Group ~ An informal music session takes place at the Lion's Den (behind the Red  Lion) on the third Wednesday of each month (8-10.45pm) and additional members would  be welcome. Members with a range of instruments, including accordions, melodeons, guitars, fiddles, brass instruments and recorders, play a selection of traditional/folk (mainly English) music. Call Andrew Hearsey on 01296 713609 or email him on hearsey@btinternet.com for further information. Yoga classes ~ 9.30am-11am for 10 weeks starting 27th September at Haddenham Youth Centre. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience who want to improve. Thursdays: The Thursday Club's Carry on Learning session has now been moved to the 1st Thursday of each month. Thursday Club ~ The Club runs every Thursday to give carers the rest they need or a day for you to socialise. A full day is £10.00 including lunch and transport or a half day with lunch is £6.00. Story Times ~ The Duckling Club resumes its weekly story times at the library on Fridays (11.00-11.30am term-time only). Entry is free. Parish Council Meetings ~ Open to all, First Monday in the month except August.

Haddenham Rollers ~ First Thursday of every month 4.30-6.00pm at Haddenham Village Hall. £1 Annual Membership plus £1 per visit. Hot dogs, chips and drinks available at reasonable prices. Roller skating for all ages, check for the notice board outside the Village Hall

Village Prayers.  Churches Together in Haddenham’s ‘Prayers for the Village – a monthly opportunity for people to meet in prayer to bless the village community’ is now running on the first Saturday of each month and each of the four village churches has now provided someone to lead one of the sessions.

BLOOD DONING SESSIONS

New donors aged 17-60 and weighing over 7st 12lb (50kg) are always welcome (existing donors can give blood until the age of 70) but please attend at least half-an-hour before the end of the session to allow time for registration.
