St. Nicholas Church

Services are listed in the church porch.
There is a different service at 10am each Sunday; Holy Communion on the first; Family Service on the second; a Modern Communion on the third and Morning Worship on the fourth. A service of Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer at 11:15am on the fourth. Fifth Sunday services vary.See more about activities below.

Services - 

There is a different service at 10am each Sunday;  Holy Communion on the first;  Family Service on the second;  a Modern Communion on the third and Morning Worship on the fourth, and a service of Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer at 11.15am on the fourth.  Fifth Sunday services vary.  Prayers -
Anyone may ask for prayer, which may be included in the prayer list at services; at regular prayer times after some services, and twice a month in church
Home Groups -
We have five Home Groups that meet regularly in peoples’ homes, for fellowship, prayer and exploration of the Biblical themes. They all welcome new members.  Please contact the Churchwardens (numbers below) for more information.
Teaching for Children -
The children and young people have their own activities with ‘Sunday Special’ during the 10am service on the first and third Sundays; ‘Chattabox’ and ‘The Grid’ at 10am in the Bernard Hall or the School on the fourth Sunday. 
The Church offers help and friendship in the community by -
‘Friends from St Nicholas’ offers prayer for particular need in the family and gives lifts to those who need to get to the doctor’s surgery etc.  ‘Village Voice’ distributed to each house, gives all the village news each month;  the ‘Drop in’ offers friendship, coffee and biscuits at 10.30 on Thursday mornings;  the Church Suppers, in January, Christian Aid Week and Harvest, are popular local events.

Church refurbishment -
St Nicholas has started on a  of refurbishment project.  All information about this is on a notice board in the church.
